Lovejoy City Council:

Mary Ann Carp began her term on August 13, 2012 representing Post 4. Served as Mayor Pro Tem in 2015 and 2019.

Professional History:

Graduate from Centerville High School, Centerville, Indiana & has been a Lovejoy resident for 24 years. Retired from Lovejoy High School and Publix Supermarket. A widowed mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother.

  • Hosted the Veterans Dinner since 2013, and was named Mother of the Year in 2014 for all her work at the Lovejoy Community Center 
  • Clayton county elections - 16 years
  • Recycling Committee - 8 years in the City of Riverdale
  • Clayton County Municipal Authority
  • Award - We Are Clayton Living Legend, 2016
