The Lovejoy Urban Redevelopment Agency (URA) was created in 2009 to drive revitalization in Lovejoy’s downtown area. The Agency’s mission is to bring families back to downtown Lovejoy. The Lovejoy Community Center, Mayor’s Park, and Open Air Market are some of the URA’s recent additions to downtown Lovejoy.
The downtown area has since become a hub for City gatherings including the Annual Summer Block Party Series, Senior Breakfast, and the Mistletoe Market. The URA is dedicated to improving the vitality of the business community and neighborhoods in downtown Lovejoy.
The URA Board is the decision making authority and consists of three Lovejoy residents: Councilwoman Marci Fluellyn, Ed Barnes, and Sharon Shaw.
Board meetings are held on the third Wednesday of each month, January through October.
Board Members: Marci Fluellyn, Lloyd Jones, and Sharon Shaw
